What are the reasons that affect the compressive strength of packaging cartons

The carton usually has three layers, and seven layers are used less. Each layer is divided into lining paper, corrugated paper, core paper, and face paper. There are tea cardboard paper, kraft paper, and core paper corrugated paper in the face paper. The color and feel of various papers are different. What factors affect the compressive strength of cartons? By testing all grades of paper physical properties, we can first calculate the compressive strength of the carton and then use the calculated compressive strength to control the compressive strength of the carton at each step in the production process. When the tensile strength of paper (especially corrugated paper) is insufficient, the force and deformation of the carton during compression testing will increase.

The final value is high and the effective value is low. After testing, the box deformed like an accordion. The waterproof performance of paper is also very important, especially refrigerators have higher requirements for the waterproof performance of paper. Sometimes, despite the high compressive strength of the carton, because the paper is not waterproof, the carton can easily absorb moisture when refrigerated, causing the storage space to collapse. According to the test, under the same conditions, each time the transverse pressure line of the carton is widened by 1mm, the compressive strength of the carton will decrease by 90N to 130N, and the deformation will increase by about 2mm.

If the pressure line is too wide, the force value of the carton will slowly increase during the compression test, the effective force value will be small, and the final deformation will be large. In order to ensure the compressive strength, we should try our best to improve the production process and reduce the impact of each process on the compressive strength of the carton. In people's consciousness, it is generally believed that the larger the corrugated shape, the higher the compressive strength of the carton, and it is easy to ignore the influence of the corrugated shape on deformation. The larger the corrugated shape, the greater the compressive strength of the carton and the larger the deformation; the smaller the corrugated shape, the smaller the compressive strength of the carton and the smaller the deformation.

If the paper canister carton is too large, but the corrugated shape is small, the carton will be easily crushed in the compression test; if the carton is too small, the corrugated shape will be large, the deformation will be too large in the compression test, and the buffering process will be long and effective . The force value deviates too much from the final force value. The influence of moisture on the compressive strength of the carton cannot be ignored. Factors such as the production environment, storage environment, operating environment, weather, and climate of the carton will affect the moisture content of the carton. In order to ensure the compressive strength of the carton, the external environment should try to avoid the influence of the water content of the carton.
